State dignitaries assess progress at Thwake Multipurpose Dam, Kenya

On Thursday, June 17, 2022, Thwake dam hosted members of the Kenyan Regional Development Implementation Coordination Committee. The committee and accompanying delegates were given an in-depth tour of the dam and associated construction works which are currently 70% complete. Earlier in the week SMEC also welcomed members of the Dam Safety Panel of Experts as per international guidelines for dam safety inspection.
