The Hydropower Africa Roundtable held in Abuja, Nigeria on 15-16 May 2024 brought together key stakeholders in Africa’s energy sector to address the urgent need for accelerating hydropower development across the continent. In May 2024, SMEC South Africa’s KwaZulu-Natal Urban Development team, along with SMEC South Africa’s CEO and Operations Director for Transport (AMEP & AECA), Logashri Sewnarain, conducted a site visit to one of the region’s flagship projects – the Upgrade of Kassier Road in Ntshongweni, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
