Explore career opportunitiesIn 2011 the Kuwaiti Government announced plans to expand the airport to cater for an increase in the passenger handling capacity from 9 million to 14 million passengers annually. SMEC delivered a tender design which encompassed a number of different design disciplines. These included pavement design, utility relocation, airfield marking, airfield and substation lighting, electrical system of aprons, airfield signage, stormwater drainage system, firefighting system, access roads, and geo-physical survey.
