SMEC in China
SMEC has been operating in China since 1982. SMEC’s first project in China involved provision of technical and project management services for the 600MW Lubuge Hydroelectric Project. This was the first major World Bank funded power project in China.
Since then, SMEC has been involved in hydroelectric project feasibility studies, road improvement projects, rail improvement projects, health and training development programs and numerous mining projects. SMEC has experience in the Transport, Water, Environment, Energy, and Education, Governance and Government Advisory sectors in China.
