SMEC is pleased to be partnering with Rwanda’s Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC) to deliver this important project and progress towards the country’s goal of 100% water supply and sanitation coverage by 2024.
SMEC specialists will first assess options for a cost-effective rehabilitation solution, considering investment, operations and maintenance costs, as well as socio-economic benefits and minimal environmental impacts. Once the team have completed the feasibility study, the detailed design will involve water quality assessments, hydraulic designs, project planning, operation and maintenance planning, costings and tender documents for construction.
This project, once operational, will provide clean, reliable water where it’s desperately needed, enhancing quality of life for Rwandans.
