Tri-An Hydro Electric Power Project

Dong Ha Song Water Treatment Plant and Water Distribution Project
Under co-investment and development by local and international firms, the Dong Ha Song Water Treatment Plant and Water Distribution Project will be the first in the area to enhance water and sanitation sources for local communities, including existing industrial clusters and parks. Marine Drive Expressway
Spanning 190 kilometres, Marine Drive Expressway will join economic development zones stretching from Chittagong to the tourism hub of Cox’s Bazar and improve access to sea and airports. The project will integrate new development corridors and connect some areas of the country to the road network for the first time.

Port Pirie Sporting Centre
SMEC was appointed the detailed design phase of the Port Pirie community sports hub in 2016. Our specialist team developed several innovative solutions to ensure the sports hub was architecturally pleasing while also functional and maintainable from an engineering perspective. After nine years in the making, the project has paid off in more ways than one, with the Port Pirie Regional Council estimating the hub already injecting more than four million dollars into the local community. The vibrant sporting hub in the centre of Port Pirie has attracted major sporting events to the area, as part of Council's event tourism strategy, and assisted in rejuvenating the Central Business District (CBD).

Hoddle Street Bus Lane Landscape & Urban Design
The proposed Hoddle Street Bus Lane runs along Hoddle Street from the Eastern Freeway to Victoria Parade in Melbourne, with Vic Roads incorporating a variety of landscape and urban design aspects proposed and coordinated with the City of Yarra.

Bruce Highway Upgrade: Cooroy to Curra – Section C
SMEC consulted with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TRM) to design a detailed 4-lane highway between the new section of the highway at Traveston and Woondum. SMEC provided enhanced safety and environmental measures to protect road users and surrounding fauna and flora. With considerate cost-saving measures implemented and the project being delivered four months ahead of schedule, SMEC created long-lasting beneficial impacts on the completion of the project.
